The Gozo Motocross Championship - fuelled by Enemed came to a victorious close yesterday as four of our most challenged riders were crowned champions in each respective category.
In an exhilarating day of grand finals, Steve Xuereb continued to dominate, celebrating his well-merited victory and third consecutive year as Champion in Class A and Overall Gozitan Champion 2021 with a total 471 points.
Jorn Stellini fought hard to hold his first position throughout the championship. He won Class B with 462 points, also celebrating his third consecutive championship in the last three years.
Class C was challenged to the very end as Jurgen Attard and Mark Camilleri competed for first position with a very small margin of points between them. In the end, Jurgen Attard won this class with 437 points, seven points over first runner up Mark Camilleri.
Luke Caruana is crowned Champion of Class D with a total 413 points. He was continually challenged throughout the whole course of the Championship, especially so by veteran Paul Caruana.
Minister for Gozo, Hon Clint Camilleri presented trophies to the Gozitan Champions. He thanked the committee for the hard work contributed to this sport and congratulated the winners. He promised that the Ministry will continue to support and work towards building the best future for Gozitan Motocross and its athletes.

Oreste Valenti, CEO of VRT SX Academy School in Sicily complimented the organisation of the event and promised to continue an amicable and wholesome MX collaboration between the two islands.
Gozo Sports Board Chairman, Mr Eddie Vella, presented momentums designed by Joe Attard at ARTEX to each and every rider.
GMA President Frank Bruno presented several other gifts to GMA Treasurer James Camilleri Trainer Scott Donovan and Lorenzo Casu for their contribution towards the association and all that it stands for.
The Frank Bruno Award 2021 was given to Mario Cauchi for his determination, discipline and respect for motocross. Meanwhile, for the second time, Mark Camilleri was awarded The most promising Rider 2021.
Complimentary gifts were presented to president Frank Bruno and executive secretary Vickyann Xuereb, from all the rider and association members, for their hard work and unconditional contribution and love towards the Gozo Motocross Association and this sport in Gozo.
Sponsor of the day Casual Bikers with representative Christopher Briffa presented trophies and mementos to the winners. The winners were also given Ravenol products and cleaning products by buildingbetterathletes by personal trainer Clayton Gatt.
The Gozo Motocross Association would like to thank all those who work voluntarily and tirelessly to make Motocross one of the best sports in Gozo.
