Last Sunday, 30th October 2022, the Gozo Motocross ASsociation held the first round of the new season of the Gozo Motocross Championship fuelled by Enemed at Ta' Xhajma Motocross Track.
In Class A, reigning champion Steve Xuereb dominated the day and won all three heats with Mario Cauchi and Joseph Bigeni following behind in second and third place respectively. Nathaniel Camilleri finished the day in fourth place after improving on Jorn Stellini in the final two heats of the day.
Class B was dominated by John Attard, with Robert Spiteri finished in second, Michael VonBrockdorff in third and Stephen Caruana in fourth place.
David Mercieca took first place in Class C with Mark Camilleri and Matthew Buttigieg following in second and third place. Matthew Spiteri ended the day in fourth with Andrew Cassar in fifth place.
In Class D, young Antoni Said finished the day in first place with Luke Caruana in second. Gary Bartolo ended up in third while Scott Donovan took last place.
Adding to the excitement, our junior riders put on a spectacular racing show! The juniors were Diego Panza, Matthias Sultana, Craig Piscopo, Trystn Theuma and Skylar Slowe.
The Gozo Motocross Association announces that Round 2 will take place on the 27th November 2022.
